Polly Kettenacker Therapy
I support adults experiencing:
Childhood memories that feel hard to describe Loss, bereavement and grief
Low self-worth and self-doubt
Anxiety and / or feeling flat or low
Anger and frustration
Struggles with fluctuating moods and emotions
Challenges in relationships
Illness, disability, or chronic pain
Struggles around meaning, faith or spirituality Difficulty in defining or reaching goals
Feelings of being misunderstood or rejected Impulsivity or feeling out of control

I work in a way that is sensitive to the impact of discrimination and marginalisation. I offer a space where LGBTQIA+ folk, racially marginalised people, and people of all faiths and none can feel safe, respected, and affirmed.
About me
I work at depth, which means I’m interested in how your early experiences have shaped the ways you relate - to yourself and to others.
But your past does not have to define your future. I believe our vulnerabilities and challenges can become sources of strength -and that, with the right support, new ways of relating can emerge.
I welcome all your feelings, including those that feel messy, intense, or hard to name. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, exploring your inner world with care and curiosity, helping you to feel more choice and steadiness in your life.

In the Japanese art of kintsugi broken pottery is mended with gold, so that the cracks are not hidden, but allowed to become part of something complex and beautiful. I hold a similar belief about people: when we are able to tend to what hurts, our wounds and imperfections can become places of meaning and depth. Not because the pain disappears, but because we learn to carry it differently.
"Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in"
Leonard Cohen, Anthem
